Privacy policy
This policy explains what The Maxed Company Inc. (“Maxed”) collects when you use our website and services, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Estimate answers. What you tell us about your business, age, income, existing retirement plans, state and filing status.
- Contact details. Your name and email address.
- Payment details. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number.
- Technical data. Basic information about your browser and how you reached the site, and cookies that keep your estimate attached to your browser and keep you signed in.
How we use it
- To calculate and show your estimate and email you a copy.
- To set up and run your plan if you become a customer.
- To contact you about your estimate, your plan and its deadlines.
- To improve the accuracy of our calculations and our service.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with:
- the independent enrolled actuary who reviews and certifies your plan’s numbers;
- service providers who work for us under contract, such as our payment processor, email provider and hosting provider;
- authorities, where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If you do not become a customer, we keep your estimate for up to 24 months and then delete it. Plan records are kept for as long as the plan exists and for the period the law requires afterwards.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@maxedplan.com. We will respond within 30 days. Some records must be kept to meet legal obligations.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the people who need it to serve you.
